Overview
About us: The Initiative for Integrated Service and Resilient Development (IISRD) is indigenous local development organization committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable communities. We work hand-in-hand with communities, governments, civil society, and the private sector to design and implement integrated programs that are locally owned, sustainable, and impactful.
Vision: Empowered and resilient communities for a sustainable future
Mission: Improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities through integrated, people-centered development projects that promote education, health, lively hoods, environmental sustainably, and social inclusion in partner with communities and stakeholders.

Overall Objectives
Improve the well-being resilience, and self-reliance, of vulnerable communities through integrated and sustainable interventions in the thematic areas of Education, Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Livelihoods and Climate Resilience.
Education Objectives
Improve access to quality and inclusive education for children and youth with special attention to girls and marginalized girls Enhanced learning outcomes through school support, teacher capacity building, and community engagement Strengthened life-skills, literacy and vocational skills to increase employability and social participation
Health Objectives
1. Increase access to essential primary health services for vulnerable populations
2. Improve maternal newborn child and adolescence health outcomes through prevention and awareness
3. Enhance community health systems and promote healthy behaviors
4. Enhance capacity of the health care delivery system.
WASH Objectives
Expand access to safe drinking water in households, schools, and health facilities Improved sanitation and hygiene practices to reduce water and sanitation-related diseases Strengthened community-led WASH management for long-term sustainability
Livelihood Objectives
Enhance household income and food security through diversified and climate-smart livelihood opportunities Supported youth and women economic empowerment through skills training, entrepreneurship, and access to finance Promoted resilient agricultural and non-farm income activities
Climate Resilience Objectives
1 Strengthen community resilience to climate shocks such as droughts, floods and land degradation
2 Promote climate-smart agriculture, natural resources management, and environmental conservation, renewable energy solutions
3 Increase community awareness and local action on climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction
4 Increase sustainably resilience and reduced long term vulnerability to current and future climate change and climate-related shocks and stresses.
